Foodporn : Dinner at Swensen's

Hey guys! 

So I'm back with another Foodporn post - this time, with my granton coupons 

For a period of time, Swensens actually put up a coupon booklet for $9.90 that had tons of good discounts :0 so we decided to use them this time round. My previous post on the Swensens breakfast was also the same meal I used one of the coupons on. 

But let's get into the food! 

The first one is the Black Pepper Seafood Pasta - we had a 1-for-1 coupon so we used that. Don't really like black pepper anything so I didn't try this 

Aglio Olio - it actually tasted really good! A little too salty for me but it's also quite healthy for you and has a considerable portion to it - pretty well priced too. 

Okay so we ordered two mains and used two coupons for free side/ free drink/ free sundae for every main ordered (full price) so we got a side and a sundae :D 

Basically, we ordered the breaded scallops that came with fries - I think it's much better than the fried mussels that they used to have. I definitely recommend it! 

And my main is the Baked Spaghetti Bolognaise. Originally I wanted to order the spicy seafood pasta - however the price has already increased and I didn't want to spend $17+ so yea. Like said, I don't like black pepper, so I gave them to someone else instead :> the pasta was really good too! The only thing was the meat in the sauce kind of tastes bad. They used to put a lot more meat though so I'm glad they've actually decreased the amount as it was way too much last time. 
Alright so we had a coupon for a free soup of the day - we got minestrone. It doesn't taste bad, but it was definitely too watery for my liking, would've preferred a thicker consistency. For a restaurant that has this many chains though I do think it's still acceptable. 

So the last item was the free sundae that came with the main! We ordered The Rock - comes with these flavours: Rocky Road, Hazelnut and Cookies and Cream. I was super full so I had a bit of the cookies and cream and also the wafer. I must comment that Swensens has really really great ice cream desserts - it's a definite selling point. Don't hesitate to try it out :))
