How I spent my birthday ❤️ and more~

Hey guys! So yup today is my birthday (28 June) and if you haven't seen my surprise gift from my family I've made a post about it so go check it out ;) it's a new pandora addition haha.
For breakfast, we actually just packed some normal hawker food from Clementi Food Centre, eg. Spicy carrot cake, duck noodles etc so I didn't take a picture of that.

But for lunch, we went to itacho sushi at JCube (which is my FAVE sushi place I swear it's so darn good). I didn't manage to take shots of everything because I was running late for class and I had to hurry things along.

This mentai udon is actually by Jika Udon, so you won't find this at the Plaza Singapura / Bugis Itacho Sushi. It's a mentai udon basically and it tastes amazing. I really love mentai a lot! It's a super delicious cod roe cream. This dish costs $10.50 I think? Which is quite alright for mentai dishes like this.
We also ordered roasted salmon sushi with mentai (see the love) and that's actually something we always order. The salmon skins were unfortunately sold out :(. But it's okay at least we got the salmon :)
I can't remember what this was but I didn't eat it haha.
This is basically tiger prawn in either the curry lobster salad or some other salad mix, and also some kind of mixed salad Inari. I don't really like these, so I didn't have any of them. My siblings love it though :)
I also ordered a roasted salmon roll and ebiko sushi! Unfortunately no photos as I had to rush off.

So for dinner, we dined at Azmaya, going for the Pork Shabu Shabu Buffet.

Here are a few pictures of what the place looks like
Cosy, air conditioned environment with plenty of seating.

Andddd here comes our food! The dinner includes a pot of shoyu (sweet soya sauce) based sort of broth to cook the meet. We were given five trays of meet to start with :)
More pics! The pork is really good quality :) and super delicious
Some utensils we were provided with (excuse my game on the iPad)
Vegetables and eggs! Super good and fresh.
They also had this station where you could custom your own sauces for the Shabu. Azmaya also provided some recipes to try~
There are tons of sauces and condiments ;)
We were also allowed to have some wagyu beef curry as well as some Japanese rice. But there's a couple of problems, such as super slow refills despite the restaurant not being full house.
Cooking Shabu!
So for Shabu you normally crack the egg and dip the cooked meat in raw egg which I found super good :)
Picture of the meat! Excuse the focus as my iPhone doesn't seem to focus well sometimes
Enoki and vermicelli were super delicious :)
Another view of the food! We got some refills of the vegetable and meat.
So I actually recommend you don't bring any thing that "sucks" in aroma or anything because it does get quite steamy around here (oil and stuff) which may make your bag smell weird. You can also opt to bring a plastic bag or something to cover the bag to prevent it from smelling. The soup is a little too sweet so don't try to drink it haha. But overall, Azmaya is a super super good place with pretty good prices.
Here's a photo of my outfit!
Crop: Topshop Utility Grosgrain Crop (Europe haul)
Skirt: Zara Skirt (Europe haul)
Necklace: Chanel logo (from Japan, authentic)
Bracelet: Pandora (Europe haul)
Shoes: UNIF Gosh Boots
Watch: Baby-G
Bucket bag: Furla
Next, we went to Laurent Cafe and Chocolate Bar just nearby. This place is super hipster!
Here's a look at their cakes! We bought a truffle cake (cheapest one I saw, $48). The cakes are pretty expensive here I'd say :/.
They also have a gelato section which looked super yummy!
And also they sell some of Singapore's best chocolate. (Especially the bars) and here's a shot of the chocolate room!
A few more pictures of the shop :)

And the outside of it! It was super dark so yea :(
So yup! Here's a look at the bag

What's inside the bag
The cake box
And the truffle cake :)

We lit a candle haha.
Here's what it looks like! The cake has different layers of chocolate, and each has a different texture. There's a fruity, alcoholic and also obviously chocolate-y flavour to the cake so it's super good!

So yea! I had a super wonderful sweet 16th. It was spent with precious family and friends. I think this year my goals and wishes are to do better in school, to do better in blogging, and really really understand where my limits lie and who I should and should not be socialising or associating myself with. It's been an eventful half a year, and here's to the rest of it! I'll be a continued dreamer, learner, believer, and achiever hopefully. Thanks for reading :)

Love,
Khione
