Foodporn: Dinner at Tony Romas

Hey Guys! 

So I had dinner at Tony Romas last night :) thought I'd share the amazing food we ordered! I do apologise for the lighting in advance but there's not much I can do about it. 

1. Onion loaf

Guys. This onion loaf is.a.classic. You simply have to order this if you ever get to stop by. They take real onion rings and just make it into this tower. You cut it out, dip it into the barbecue sauce and there you have it. The slight sweetness from the onion and the barbecue sauce ties in perfectly with the salty flavours you'd expect from the crispy layer and the sauce. Heavenly. 

2. Caesar Salad

Tony Romas is the only restaurant I know that serves a salad portion this huge for Caesar salads at $10. The vegetables are fresh, crispy and the sauce is light and perfectly complemented with the classic croutons and a sprinkle of Parmesan. I do think there's more room for the sauce, but it's already doing very very well.

3. The ribs  

Of course of course, Tony Romas is famous for their amazing ribs. The ribs are perfectly grilled, and then slapped with some seriously delicious sauce. We had the Original Baby Back Ribs, and we chose broccoli, baked potato (jacket potato), mashed potatoes and fries. The rib meat is super tender so you won't take forever to chew on it, and the sauce coats the meat so very well with that smokey, honey taste that's simply hard to describe. Every bite is heaven ;) 

Among the sides, I think the baked potato is really good. It's for sour cream, cheese, spring onion and bacon bits (classic). The potatoes are really nice and soft, but not mashed potato consistency, and perfectly baked. Yummy :>
