Australia trip: Day 7 - Vietnamese food, Feeding birds and Mount Dandenong
We had a late start to the day so we went to this amazing Vietnamese restaurant with the most amazing food (I forgot the name)
I ordered the basil chicken with rice and fried egg (9.90)
Really good :)
I also got to try the beef pho - a classic in Vietnamese cuisine. Again, the soup was really good and the noodles were absolutely wonderful. The beef was cooked just right, juicy and delicious. (9.90)
We then drove up to this amazing place that had wild birds there. Lorikeets and parrots mainly, and we got to feed them! Please don't worry, we bought the bird food there and it is safe for the birds
The birds here are very friendly and they do not bite. I've observed that they do seem to enjoy sunflower seeds so if you want to be able to feed a few of them try sunflower seeds.
Pretty woods~
Afterwards, we went to Mount Dandenong to have a look. Mount Dandenong is a very popular lookout place in Melbourne.
It was rather foggy that day so we couldn't really see much but nonetheless it was pretty!
Mount Dandenong is also home to fantastic sculptures and artworks that are blended in with the plants. I definitely recommend this place for interested photographers :)
Above are the pictures of plant life and sculptures I took pictures of! The mountain is really windy so it's wise to bring a jacket. I don't advise any floppy hats that fly off easily as you'll be sure to lose it. It was a great experience though :) on to day 8! Love,
Khione
