Cat's Safari - the catty affair

Hey! So just today, my CCA visited the Cats' Safari to see if we could learn anything from helping out there and what to expect etc etc. Honestly, I never expected to step out of that place with feelings this passionate.

Cats' Safari rescues cats that are abandoned / from hoarders / essentially not living in a safe environment. This cause is completely funded by their company with no help. And think about it, there's no obligation for them to help in any way at all. There are so many beautiful cats in our society that are threatened by the selfishness of us beings.

Some of these cats were actually from kitten mills - a place where pedigree cats were bred. Once they passed a period of time where they should've been sold, these cats are put down to save the sellers of a hassle. But what they put down isn't just a product - they put down a life. And from what I've seen today, none of these lives deserve to be put down because they can't be marketed profitably. Who are we to decide when someone is to die? We don't have that power yet - or at least, we can't have that power. It's not something one can just have. All these precious lives revealed to us today, a special side of who they were.

All these cats are honestly just painfully lovable - every one of them. Thankfully, they now have a safe home

The beauty of this room is hard to put in words - all built by one amazing person.

Cats' Safari - a sanctuary. Truly beautiful, and a work of art.

I'm sharing this post in hopes that people who read this realise a few things

1. You don't have the right to put someone's life down because they don't make money for you.

2. Be responsible for your pets. Give it a safe environment - give it an environment very living being deserves. And don't neglect your animals - they love your touch.

That's all. But I think it's good food for thought :)

XOXO.
